Sword and dagger
Sword and dagger in TAS is done according to the system of George Silver (late 16th/early 17th centuries). Silver has a large chapter on sword and dagger, explaining how it is built on the use of sword alone, but obviously differs in that you have a second weapon, capable of both offense and defence. Sword and dagger is not as popular as sword alone or sword and buckler as the presence of a dagger makes fighting in close extremely risky and as such fencers often avoid that distance, leading to a less varied and interesting fight. Sword and dagger vs sword and buckler can be very interesting as the buckler is much better in defence, but the dagger provides additional offensive potential.
